The History

"The origins of our company date back to 1875 when Mr. Libero Invernizzi Founded one of the first sawmills in Padana Valley, as proof of the old involvement in the wood sector of our family" - Mr. Giorgio Invernizzi, President, says.

In 1940, Invernizzi family created in Gussola (CR) the company GIUSEPPE INVERNIZZI & Figli, involved in the transformation of wood. At the beginning, this company was still a sawmill which became specialized in the production of packaging for local foods, like, mustards, jams, salamis. Soon afterwards, the company began to produce poplar plywood. In order to reply to the different markets needs, during the 50’s, Giuseppe Invernizzi srl Company grown itself a lot through the enlargement of its offer.

In 1973 , always Invernizzi family established a new society in Solarolo Rainerio (CR) the IPAS srl where poplar particleboard were produced.

From the merger of the 2 family companies, Inverizzi spa was created in 1996.

From its beginning, the new company was involved in the production both of poplar plywood and poplar chipboard, becoming a clever and important proof of the full use of a precious raw material, like the wood and of an up-dated way of building up an integrated society.

In spite of the huge development and the changes in the organisation occurred in the last years, the company is and want to continue to be familiar.

From time immemorial, Invernizzi family has always been the "engine" of the activity, handing the motivations, the knowledge and the enthusiasm down from father to son.

Profile and Evolution

Invernizzi spa is one of the leader company in the domestic and international market. It works in the first wood manufacturing sector and produces plywood and chipboard, both in normal and in fire-retardant versions.

Invernizzi spa is located in Solarolo Rainerio (CR) and stretches over an area of more than 380.000 meters (photos), more than 40.000 of which is roofed and with about 160 employees.

The know- how of Invernizzi spa is one of the most updated all over Europe and the world.

The company is made up of 2 different, but in perfect synergy, production areas and this is one of its most important competitive plus: the possibility to use the waste of plywood process in chipboard production.

Among the first companies of the sector, Invernizzi spa has obtained the certification of its Quality System according to ISO 9001:2000 Standard on the November 6th, 2002. (CERTIFICATE ICILA NR.629 - IQNET NR.IT-23461).

The achievement of this target has involved the company very much and has meant important changes in the organisation and the structure.

Nowadays, Invernizzi spa is determined to keep a position of leadership for the Quality Assurance of the product and the service because thinks that it’s the sole mean to:

• Create ADDED VALUE for the customer through a transparent and “customer oriented” system;
• Pursue a CONTINUE IMPROVEMENT through the control of the” non- quality” costs and the diffusion of the quality philosophy;
• Be more and more COMPETITIVE in a more and more rigorous a market.

Human resources: “THE TEAM”

"TO WORK IN TEAM" is the organizing philosophy of Invernizzi spa to win. Each person is responsible of his work and of the achievement of the targets because everybody is “protagonist” in the QUALITY scene.

The definition of its quality system has promoted the concept of transparent organisation and also of the “problem finding & problem solving” culture thinking that “to do correctly the first time” means competitiveness.

Being conscious that the success pass through human resources, Invernizzi spa has a large, young and prepared team, today.

The sale network (both in Italy and in the international market) is composed of more that 15 well- involved persons, of high profile and attentive to customer’s needs.
